He Will Gather You

Jeremiah 31:10 – 14
The Lord, who scattered his people, will gather them and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock (Jeremiah 31:10, NLT).

We understand from the Scriptures that weeping may last for a night but joy comes in the morning. See Psalm 30:5.  Friend, it does not matter what you are going through and have been through; the Lord will have mercy on you and restore you. Today’s passage brings us that assurance.

Many times, we are the cause of our dilemma. We face challenges because we made wrong choices and the Lord had to chastise us for our wrong doings. Yet, He promised to forgive and restore us.

The Bible says, “The Lord, who scattered his people, will gather them and watch over them as a shepherd does his flock” (Jeremiah 31:10, NLT). It is good to know that God, who allowed our scattering for a season, also promised to gather us and be our shepherd forever.

With this word of hope, I encourage us to keep faith, seek the Lord and ask Him to forgive and restore you. Just as He did to the house of Israel and they were enabled to return to their land, God will also rebuild our lives.

It is my prayer that we will become radiant with the Lord’s blessings. See Jeremiah 31:12. Let us ask the Lord to visit us and help us to rebuild our lives. Shalom.
