He Is Risen

Mark 16:1-8
“Don’t be alarmed,” he said. “You are looking for Jesus the
Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here. See the place where they laid him” (Mark 16:6, NIV).

The validity of the events that led to the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ was recorded in the four gospels. The authors provided evidence and clear accounts that Jesus died and rose again. No matter what the Scientists, New Agers and Atheists are saying or the theory being proposed, Jesus died and rose again. The Bible says so and we believe it.

Mark wrote about the events that took place at the tomb of Jesus on the third day of His death. His account revealed that certain women went to Jesus’ tomb after the Sabbath to anoint His body. Unknown to them He had risen as He said and was no longer in the grave.

Worried about who would roll the stone from the door of the tomb, they did not know that God had done it for them. An angel appeared and told them: “You are looking for Jesus the Nazarene, who was crucified. He has risen! He is not here.” (vs. 6, NIV). To corroborate his words he said, “See the place where they laid him”.

Friend, Jesus is alive and His tomb is empty. I choose to believe His word than that of any archaeologist or historian. Let us rejoice and celebrate His resurrection with gladness. Let us rejoice because we have eternal life. Happy Resurrection Day!
