He Gives The Best (II)
John 11:35-45
Then many of the Jews who had come to Mary, and had seen the things Jesus did, believed in Him (John 11:45).
Friend, God loves you and He has your best at heart. There are more reasons we may experience delay. This includes:
- It may be that He has a better plan. Many times this is the picture we see in the Scriptures. When Mary and Martha sent for Jesus to come and heal Lazarus, He delayed. Why? He has a better plan. He wanted Lazarus’ story to become a testimony that would draw others to Him. Could it be that the delay we are experiencing is God’s plot to bring us to a larger place and a position of influence so that we can make more impact for the Kingdom and bring glory to Him?
- Everyone that needs to be involved may not be ready. You may think you are ready but those you want to meet or work with are not ready. God will put you on hold until everything is set. This is what happened in the case of Zechariah and Elizabeth. They wanted a baby but God has a plan. So, He shut her womb. When it was time, God visited them because He wanted John to be Jesus’ forerunner. Amazing wisdom of God (see Luke Chapter 1).
God does not give less than the best (see John 3:16). Let us continue to hold on to the confession of our faith and trust Him to bring us to the expected end. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Pray for your needs and the grace to wait on the Lord to bring you the best.
