He Causes Us To Have Victory

1 Corinthians 15:55-58
But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. (1 Corinthians 15:57).

Meditating on today’s focal text, I realized that the One to praise and give thanks to is the God Almighty who made sure that we come into the saving grace through the Lord Jesus Christ so that we can be saved. Imagine if you were not born again; if you did not know Jesus, your life would have been more miserable.

Our hope for the future and eternity would have also been bleak. “But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ”.  He gave us victory over sin and death so that we can become His own. I am confident that God is able to give us the victories that we need.

What could have been tougher than the power of death? What could have been stronger than the power of sin? Nothing!  Christ continues to fight and pray for us. That is why Paul wrote in another place, “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us” (Romans 8:34).

Friend, take time to meditate on the reality of this truth in your life and thank God for His amazing work of salvation in your life. You will be glad you did. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Praise God for His work of salvation.
  • Pray that you will continually walk in the reality of its truth.
  • Pray for me and my family that we will keep the truth of His word in our heart. Thank You.
