Happy New Year
Isaiah 3:8-10; Malachi 3:16-18
Tell those who do what is right that things will go well with them. They will enjoy the results of the good things they’ve done. (Isaiah 3:10, New International Readers Version).
Happy New Year to you and your family! I am glad you made it into 2018. You are alive because God has been merciful and gracious to you. 2017 was a difficult year. It was a year full of great troubles and trials. It was a year full of diverse tragedies around the world. Yet, many victories and successes were recorded.
Many of us were not spared troubles but the Lord helped us. So, we have a reason to thank Him. Look into your life, you will find a reason to thank God too. You will also find reasons to look forward to a great year in 2018.
I believe 2018 will be a year of peace for us. In the world we will continue to see more troubles and moral decadence than ever before. However, this might give room for those whom God’s glory rests upon to shine. See Isaiah 60:1-3.
The word of the Lord for today is: “Tell those who do what is right that things will go well with them. They will enjoy the results of the good things they’ve done” (Isaiah 3:10, NIRV). God cares about us. He knows how tough it is to live for Him and stand in righteousness. He will reward us. Do not give up. Confess daily that, “It shall be well with me”. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Thank God for keeping you and your family alive.
- Thank Him for your friends, families and nation.
- Thank God for today’s word and confess it.
