Growing In Glory

2 Corinthians 3:7-18
But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord (2 Corinthians 3:18).

Our focal text makes us to understand that there are levels of glory. It means that you can start at the lower level and grow to a higher level of glory in God. No wonder some people are doing better than us. They are walking in a higher level of peace, wealth and grace than we are. How can we grow in God’s glory? I believe the following would help us.

  1. Intimacy with the Lord. The more we behold Him through His  word and worship, the more we will know Him.
  2. Spending time with God. Moses’ face changed because of the  time He spent with the Lord on the mountain. When the              Apostles were interrogated in Acts Chapter 4, the high priest recognized that they had been with the Lord.
  3. Hunger: This relates to our hunger for more of God. David said, “Lord, I thirsty for You”. Can this be said of  us? Do we have the same level of passion for God that  those who are walking in higher level of glory have for Him?
  4. Patience: We must be patient as we seek. God’s work in us is to shape us to His image. It is a gradual transformation. See  Romans 8:29.
  5. Embrace the Spirit of the Lord. He is the Spirit of Liberty.

Love Him and relate with Him. He will rob the glory of God on you.

May the Lord bless your heart with His word. Shalom.

Your Turn
