God Will Reward The Righteous

Psalm 58:1-11
Then people will say, “Righteous people certainly have a reward. There is a God who judges on earth” (Psalm 58:11, GWT).

Many times, believers lose hope and give up on waiting on the Lord because it seems God is slow to judge the wicked.
We may be correct. But when we see things from God’s perspective, we would understand that God considers many
things before unleashing His vengeance on the enemy.

Why? He loves to see repentance. He loves to forgive and restore the wicked when they turn to Him. Hence, the appropriate delay sometimes. At other time, it may simply be that their punishment is not yet due. There is an appointed time for it. What are we to do?

1. We must not give up in prayer. We should continue to pray that God will judge them.
2. We must not lose faith. We should expect God to act righteously.
3. We must believe that God will ultimately judge the wicked. The Bible says, “Then people will say, “Righteous people certainly have a reward. There is a God who judges on earth”” (Psalm 58:11, GWT).

He will not fail. He is a righteous judge (Genesis 18:25). He will not fail in our time. Hold on, it pays to be righteous. Stand for the truth that God stands for. Your faith will produce results and bring you a testimony in due season. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Thank God for the assurance of God’s intervention in our situations.
  • Praise Him for the access we have to Him,
  • Take your case to Him and ask Him to intervene on your behalf.

Hymn: A mighty fortress is our God.
