God, Our Redeemer
Isaiah 43:1-17
“Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; You are Mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow you”.
Isaiah 43:1-2.
Friend, God is our redeemer too. Let us take this word personal and receive it as the word of the Lord for us. He
is our God just as He is the God of Israel. He redeemed us by the precious blood of His Son. See Colossians 1:13.
God has redeemed us, and we are precious to Him. He is committed to our safety and security. We need to hear these
words often in our days when evil abounds. The city I live in is full of news of kidnapping, armed robbery, armed bandits, clashes here and there. Only the Lord keeps us safe in this city.
When the Lord says, “When you cross deep rivers, I will be with you, and you won’t drown. When you walk through fire, you won’t be burned or scorched by the flames” (Isaiah 43:2, CEV). I receive it because He can do what He says. He is God.
When the Lord says, “I will give men for you, and people for your life” (Isaiah 43:4b), I receive it because I have my life challenges and struggles. This word fills me with hope that I will come out strong and come out unhurt. Indeed, I can boldly say to my challenging situation, this too shall pass. I am precious to the Lord. He will sort me out. How about you? Let us pray. Shalom.
