Fear Of The Unknown

Matthew 6:25-34; 1 Peter 5:7
Casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7).

While writing this edition I had to travel between two zones in Europe with different visa requirements. Although, I had visas but I was a little concerned about the journey and the route to take. Unknown to me, my concerns were unnecessary. Yet, this is what the Lord seemed to have been impressing on my mind all along.

The lack of adequate information was responsible for most of it. If I had enough information I would have saved some money and would have probably planned a different route on my travels tickets. Friend, many of us will lose sight of God’s leading or fail to pay attention to it because we are so bugged down with the fear of the unknown.

Although, I did not have all the information I needed, the Lord was trying to calm me down because He sees what I do not see. Had I listened more closely, I would have saved myself the worries and some money too.

Friend, it is time for us to begin to take listening to the Lord more seriously and learn how to cast our cares on Him. When we have done so, then we can leave them with Him and trust Him to take care of them. When we sense His voice, we should listen and let Him lead us as He has promised. May the Lord help us with all our fears in Jesus’ Name. Shalom

Your Turn

  • Pray for yourself.
  • Pray that you will begin to practice the principle of casting your care on the Lord.
