Embrace Hard Work
Proverbs 14:23
Work brings profit; talk brings poverty! (Proverbs 14:23, The Living Bible).
We will consider other factors as we seek to rebrand our lives and face a new future.
- Embrace hard work. Every plan and dream will require some work. For some it will be the willingness to work on a negative attitude or behavior that leads to the problem in their marriages or workplaces or ministry. For others, it may be the willingness to start small with the hope that change will come. Ruth was willing to start as a gleaner.
- Seek wisdom and understanding: In addition to all that we have discussed, nothing will take the place of seeking wisdom, reading, studying, or learning from those who know more than you do. For example, if you want to change your career, you may need to learn a new skill and seek a mentor in that area, who will help you navigate the new course that you are charting for your life. The Bible says, “Through desire a man, having separated himself, seeketh and intermeddleth with all wisdom” (Proverbs 18:1 KJV).
Friend, these are some of the things it takes to create a personal change. I pray that you will go over them again. See what you lack and ask the Lord to show you your next steps. You cannot run
away from hard work. You must find a mentor you can share your life with. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Talk to God about your life
- Pray that you will not miss your moment to move forward in life.
Song: We give You all the glory.
