Don’t Press The Panic Button

Isaiah 32:16-18
And the work of righteousness will be peace, and the service of righteousness, quietness and confidence forever (Isaiah 32:17, New American Standard Bible).

Today, we would look at the second half of the verse we reflected on yesterday. The effect of righteousness is quietness and assurance of salvation. We will experience these effects because we know that Jesus is in charge of our lives. No matter what life brings to us we can remain calm because the One who sits on the throne is on our side. He is our father. He will save and deliver us. We are calm because we know our God is ever faithful.

Friend, it is time for us to experience the effect of our righteousness. It is time for us to walk in the benefits of faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. We are not expected to respond to situations the way non-believers would respond, because we have a hope and faith that cannot be shaken.

No matter what you are going through; do not press the panic button. You have the Prince of Peace within you. If the storm is raging around you, do not fear. Trust in the Lord. For, “they that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abides forever” (Psalm 125:1, King James 2000 Bible). Stand strong and produce the effect of quietness and assurance in His love and mercy.

Refuse to be oppressed and harassed by the enemy. Your peace is your power. May the King of kings, the Lord of our peace expand these words in your heart. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Thank God for this word of faith and hope.
  • Pray for yourself.
