Don’t Give Up
Genesis 26: 16-25
He moved … and dug another well, and no one quarreled over it. He named it Rehoboth saying, “Now the Lord has given us room …” (Genesis 26:22, NIV).
The path of the righteousness shines brighter and not less (Proverbs 4:18). It does not matter the number and the strength of those who are incensed against you, the Lord says they will not prosper. Have you not heard what He said in Isaiah Chapter 41:11? “Behold, all those who were incensed against you shall be ashamed and disgraced; they shall be as nothing”. Hallelujah!
Therefore, do not fear. Do not give up. Keep digging until you reach the place of peace, prosperity and harvest as the Lord continues to lead you and give you the energy to work. The enemy thought that if they pursued Isaac from where he was blessed, he would not be blessed again. What they failed to realise is that the blessing is on him and not on the place he is planted alone.
A man of peace will always be led by the Lord into a place of fruitfulness. A man of obedience, walking with God, will never lack a place of rest. The Philistines asked him to go and the herders of Gerar also contended with his servants. If it were some of us, we would have said the enemy was winning but not Isaac and his men. They kept digging until they got to Rehoboth!
May the Lord lead you to your Rehoboth in Jesus’ Name.
Shalom.
