Don’t Be Like The Nine
Luke 17:11-19
So Jesus answered and said, “Were there not ten cleansed? But where are the nine? Were there not any found who returned to give glory to God except this foreigner?” (Luke 17:17-18).
Returning to give glory to God for answered prayers or a granted victory, is a sign of gratitude and appreciation. It shows that we acknowledge what He has done for us. It also shows that we know what He did was not as a result of our connections or smartness.
Yet, I wonder why we usually forget to thank God for what He has done in our lives. Could it be that when we pray we don’t expect Him to answer? Or is it that we think God is under obligation to answer our prayers? Whatever the reasons may be, I believe it is time for us to repent and begin to do the right things.
The call to repentance is to all of us. What you appreciate will never depreciate! Shalom.
