Confidence And Expectation

Ephesians 2:14-22
Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God (Ephesians 2:19).

Today, we will look at the remaining letters of the word “assurance”.

“N” is for “Nationality”. The new birth gives us unprecedented access to the kingdom of God. By reason of redemption we are now citizens of heaven. Apostle Paul captures it well when he writes, “Now, therefore, you are no longer strangers and foreigners, but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God” (Ephesians 2:19). I am happy that I have and possess the best citizenship that not only protect and provide for me here on earth but covers me in the life after.

“C” is for “Confidence”. With assurance of salvation comes the confidence to possess what Jesus Christ has purchased for us. We are also confident to approach the throne of God with faith.

“E” is for “Expectation”. We expect His blessings here on earth and the promise of eternity with Him in heaven. We also wait eagerly for His second appearance as He has promised. “Looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ” (Titus 2:13).

Friend, may you find joy in this truth we have shared.  May your heart be enlarged with the truth of God’s word. Shalom.
