Jude 4
For certain individuals whose condemnation was written about long ago have secretly slipped in among you. They are ungodly people, who pervert the grace of our God … (NIV).

The characteristics of these evil men include:

1. False teachers deny the existence of God. They are ungodly and God means nothing to them. They deny that the creation is made by a creator. This is in line with the naturalism worldview. To them, reality is all that  exists andnothing more. Atheism, agnosticism and  existentialism belong to this broad group.
2. They pervert the grace of God. These men preach tolerance of sin. This worldview supports liberalism.  They take the grace of God as liberty for sin. If it feels good, do it. But we all know that all that is good is not from God. It may feel good to steal your neighbor’s car  but that does not make it morally right. It does not also support the word of God that should guide our daily living. See Psalm 119:9-11.
3. False teachers deny Jesus Christ as our only Sovereign and Lord. Anyone who denies Jesus as the only Son of God or denies that He is the propitiation for our sin belongs to this group.

Friend, these are the first sets of signs that we need to look for.  Any minister, church or ministry which celebrates their leaders above God is living in error. Jesus Christ is the Lord of His church not a bishop, pastor or man. Shalom.
