Judges 6:1-10
For they would come up with their livestock and their tents
… both they and their camels were without number;
and they would enter the land to destroy it (Judges 6:5).

Reading through this passage, I can relate with some of the issues raised in it and the happenings in my home country. Friend, this is not the time to keep quiet and watch. This is not the time to be passive or be nonchalant about the situations in our countries and our world.

The Midianites’ style of invasion is a ruthless one. They came to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10b), if we let them into our lives and lands we and our own may be destroyed. In as much as we would say, God forbid, we have to do our part which includes:
1. Cry out to God and repent of our sins.
2. In any area that we have erred we need to return to the Lord.
3. Ask God to send us helpers so that we can wage war against whomever and whatever represents the Midianites in our life.
4. Come against any form of financial and material leakages and wastage.
5. Bring a sacrificial offering to the Lord. Pay your tithes too.
6. Ask the Lord to rebuke the devourer for your sake as He has promised. Malachi 3:10
7. Expect the Lord to stop the devourer and turn things around for you.

I believe the above can be done at an individual and corporate level. It can be done by a community and a nation, at local and regional level. We cannot sit down and watch while the enemy is busy destroying our inheritance and future. This is not the time to be casual and live in sin. Let him that has ear hear!
