John 4:7-15
Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life (John 4:14).

The Bible presents several affirmations of eternal security for those who believe in Jesus Christ and trusted Him for their salvation.

First, we see this affirmation in Jesus’ conversation with the woman at the well when He told her, “Whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life” (John 4: 14).

Another affirmation of our salvation and eternal security is revealed in Jesus’ conversation with the Jews. Referring to His sheep He told them, “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28). Friend, if Jesus said it that should settle it.

Third, the scripture says that we have an incorruptible inheritance because of the salvation that we have in Christ. See 1 Peter 1:3-5. We can boldly say we have eternal security because of the following:

1. We have received the water of life, Jesus Christ. He lives in us. And His water continues to  spring to everlasting                 life in us.
2. Through the protection of Christ.
3. Through the word of God. The life we have is an incorruptible one.
