Act In Line With Your Faith

Luke 17:11-19
So when He saw them, He said to them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed (Luke 17:14).

Friend, many times we do not know what lies ahead of us or what is on the other side until we take the step of obedience when we know that God has spoken to us. The ten lepers in the story we read did not know how Jesus would heal them.

They prayed for healing but Jesus told them, “Go, show yourselves to the priests.” And so it was that as they went, they were cleansed” (Luke 17:14). If they had failed to go, they might not have experienced their healing.

It is time for us to begin to act in line with the word we have heard and in line with our faith. It is time to believe that God will answer us when we pray. It is time to take corresponding action after we have prayed. These lepers “prayed” and acted on Jesus’ instruction.

For example, if you believe God for admission into higher institution, then you have to take the form and sit for the examination. That is what it means to take corresponding action. You do your part.

Until Naaman obeyed the word of the prophet to wash in the River Jordan, his leprosy or skin disease remained with him. Although, the word has already gone forth, his obedience is needed to activate his healing. Think on these things. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • What steps are you going to take today to move you closer to your miracle?
  • Is there any delayed obedience? Ask for forgiveness and receive the help that you need.

Song:  I’m coming back to the heart of worship.
