A Song Of Salvation

Isaiah 26:1-9
In that day, everyone in the land of Judah will sing this song: Our city is strong! We are surrounded by the walls of God’s salvation.
Isaiah 26:1, NLT

I say “Amen” as I read our focal text. I am glad that the Lord is our strong tower. What a joy to know that we are surrounded by His salvation.

You see when God surrounds you nothing evil and satanic can penetrate the wall of God. His presence and angels will prevent the Evil One from wreaking havoc in your life. This reminds me of what the Psalmists says in Psalm 125. “As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people from this time forth and forever” (Ps 125:2).

Friend, we have a strong city because the Lord surrounds it. Our strength, faith, and hope are in Him. That is why every locked gate of blessing must be opened unto us to enter and partake of it.

Realising that God is our salvation will help us to live in peace. The Bible says, “You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You” (Isaiah 26:3). Why do we trust God? It is because we know that God is our protection.

Salvation in its entirety is more than deliverance from the power of sin. Salvation means wholeness, health, protection, prosperity and more. As you meditate on God being your wall of salvation, lift a song of praise and worship Him with joy in your heart. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Sing a song of praise to the lord.
  • Pray that you will experience the benefits of salvation to the fullest.
