Before those people lived in darkness, but now they have seen a great light.They lived in a dark land, but a light has shined on them.

Our God is the God of many chances. He is the God of times and seasons. So, He can turn your situation around and make you laugh again. A new day and season are coming because God can do it. He has done it before; He will do it again.

Reading through today’s passage, we can see God turning the gloom of the people of Zebulun and Naphtali into joy.
We see God turning their captivity and giving them a reason to rejoice. The Bible says, “Before those people lived in
darkness, but now they have seen a great light. They lived in a dark land, but a light has shined on them” (Isaiah 9:2,
NCV). God will do the same for us.

I love what the Bible says in verse 3: “God, you have caused the nation to grow and made the people happy. And they
have shown their happiness to you, like the joy during harvest time, like the joy of people taking what they have
won in war” (Isaiah 9:3, NCV).

Friend, I want God to multiply my life and increase my joy too. I want my unpleasant situation to respond to the touch of the Master so that I can experience a lasting joy and reap a harvest of great things. Let us pray and ask God to increase us and bring upon us a new day and season of joy.
