A Medium Of Revelation
Jeremiah 33:1-16
Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about things to come. (Jeremiah 33:3, NLT).
I know many of us would like to know the things to come and have an insight into the challenges that we are facing.
Well, God has given us an invitation saying, “Ask me and I will tell you remarkable secrets you do not know about
things to come” (Jeremiah 33:3, NLT).
Friend, prayer is a medium for obtaining divine revelations. It is a medium whereby God reveals to us, what ordinarily we may not know. He does this by speaking to our spirit through the Holy Spirit. We pick such information in our minds as it becomes receptive in prayer. Sometimes, we receive clear mental pictures or flash in our mind.
Some may receive Bible verses that would make meaning to them about their situation. At other times, we may dream, or hear God’s voice as we read His word. He could also intervene in our circumstances and we will know that God is the One at work. O! the wonders of God and the power of prayer.
God revealed things to come to Jeremiah. He is willing to do the same for us. Let us come to the place of prayer with the attitude to hear God and receive directions from Him. God wants to share His thoughts with us. The problem, however, is that sometimes we are not patient enough in prayer to be thus led. May the Lord help us as we wait in His presence. Shalom.
