He Will Help Us

Judges 7:9-15
But if you are afraid, first go down to the camp alone-take along your servant Purah if you like – and listen to what they are saying down there! You will be greatly encouraged and be eager to attack! (Judges 7:10-11, The Living Bible).

Sometime this year, I had a personal challenge. I cried to the Lord. During the day I would spend time praying and seeking the Lord for His help. I wanted a solution that was pleasing to Him. As His daughter, I also knew I needed to be real and tell Him what I wanted. In the end the situation was resolved in a way I still cannot explain.

One of the lessons I learnt was the continuous help of the Holy Spirit in keeping me on the altar daily. Not only that, I was grateful that I could keep my confession that, “I will not lose my peace and joy. I will not be depressed”. God did it. I was peaceful. In the end, I realised that I have grown in my walk with God.

It maybe that Gideon thought all his fears had gone but God saw his heart. He told him I have given you the victory but if you are afraid, go into the enemy’s camp to hear what they were saying. He was encouraged by what he heard and called for battle.

Friend, what fears are you having? The Lord sees you. He wants to help you. I implore you to come boldly in faith into His presence today and tell Him how you feel believing that His answer will do you good. Shalom.
