You Are The Christ
Luke 9:18-22
He said to them, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter answered and said, “The Christ of God.”
Luke 9:20
We will continue our study of The Life Of Jesus as we look at His relationship with His disciples. Having been with them for some time, Jesus did an evaluation of their knowledge of Him. Training and impact evaluation are part of an organization’s performance management.
Personally, I believe if they had failed in the assessment, He would have taught them again. He asked them,” “Who do the crowds say that I am?” (Luke 9:18). They answered Him. Then He asked, “But who do you say that I am?” Peter nswered and said, “The Christ of God” (Luke 9:20).
You see, there is a difference between what others think about you and your God and what you think about yourself
and your God. Others may know Him as a healer, do you know Him as your healer too. Others may call Him
provider, do you know Him as your Jehovah Jireh, your provider? Here is the truth: The revelation of God that you
have is what will sustain you.
Let us make sure that what we know about Jesus Christ is correct. This is one of the several reasons for this study. May the Lord reveal Himself to you more and more in Jesus Name. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Who is the Lord to you? One of the prophets or your Savior?
- Talk to God.
