The Life Of Jesus

Luke 1:4; 1 John 1:4
It seemed good to me also, having had perfect understanding of all things from the very first, to write to you an orderly account … that you may know the certainty of those things …
Luke 1:3-4

Today, we will begin our study of the life of Jesus Christ. It promises to be another impactful and life-changing
meditation on the word of God.

The need for us to study the life of Jesus is premised on several reasons. These include:

1. To gain adequate Knowledge: We need to study the life of Jesus Christ to know Him more. We live in a time when several doctrines and adulteration of the message of salvation are being peddled. We live in a time when we are being told that several ways lead to God. One of the lies making waves is that we serve a good God and He cannot choose one way to Himself.,As a result, many people are deceived to imbibe wrong teachings and beliefs. But Jesus has declared, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).

Dr Luke took time to study, research and wrote the book of Luke because he wanted to present an orderly account of the life of Jesus and the word of God to Theophilus. He said,” I am writing that you may know the certainty of those things in which you were instructed” (Luke 1:4). It is my prayer as we revisit this study, we will know the truth too. Shalom.

Your Turn

  • Pray for yourself to understand the truth about Jesus and who He is.
  • Pray for me and my family that we will continue to grow in the knowledge of God.

Song: Sweet Jesus, sweet Jesus, how wonderful You are.
