Expect Persecutions
2 Timothy 3:10-17
Yes, and all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer persecution.
2 Timothy 3:12
The Bible says, “You shall know the truth and the truth shall make you free” (John 8:32). Therefore, let us tell
ourselves the truth so that we can be prepared. The current
attacks and persecutions of Christians – the followers of
Christ – in our families, cities, nation, and globally will not
stop.
Persecutions and attacks are part of the salvation package.
Jesus said, “Assuredly, I say to you, there is no one who has
left house or brothers … who shall not receive a hundredfold
now in this time… with persecutions and in the age to come,
eternal life” (Mark 10:29-30). Paul also writes, “Yes, and all
who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will suffer
persecution” (2 Timothy 3:12).
Jesus further warns us: “You can have peace in me. In this
world, you will have trouble, but be brave! I have defeated the
world” (John 16:33, NCV). Therefore, be at rest as you face
persecution. Be brave. Rest in God’s faithfulness to keep you
safe. Rest in the victory He has won for us.
You are an overcomer. In Him, you are more than conquerors.
Don’t fear persecution. Let us embrace it and ask for the grace
to stand strong in faith. May the Lord help us to stand firm,
overcome and win in life in Jesus Name. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Pray for the grace to stand firm in the face of opposition and persecution.
- Pray for wisdom and knowledge to manage attacks.
