No Shame And Hunger
Joel 2:19-26
So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the crawling locust, the consuming
locust, and the chewing locust …
Joel 2:25
We will look at more blessings that can be received from God’s showers.
- Divine provision. “I will raise up for them a garden of renown, and they shall no longer be consumed with
hunger in the land, nor bear the shame of the Gentiles anymore” (Ezekiel 34:29). Our needs will be met at
the right time. That is why the rain will come in its season. - No shame. From the above verse, we also see that God will remove shame from us. There may be sufferings
and challenges because we know Jesus, but shame is not part of the covenant. See Joel 2: 26-27. Those who
are incensed at us are the ones who will be ashamed and disgraced. See Isaiah 41:11. - Deep knowledge and understanding of the Lord as well as who we are to Him. We touched on this benefit
yesterday. Friend, the knowledge of God is the key to enjoying the covenant rights. Knowledge will change
your perspective and attitude to life. It will set you free from unnecessary struggle and sorrows.
What a joy to know that we are God’s people. “You are My flock, the flock of My pasture; you are men, and I am your God,” says the Lord God” (Ezekiel 34:31). It reveals who we are to God and our relationship to Him. May the Lord stir up a hunger in your heart to pray for the showers of blessing. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Pray for yourself as you have been ministered to.
