Renew Your Trust
Psalm 125:1-5
Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever.
Psalm 125: 1, NIV.
As we prepare for the New Year let us renew our trust in God. God knows our tomorrow, so we must rest our faith in Him, trust Him to lead us and guide us to greater heights.
The Bible says, “The path of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, shining ever brighter till the full light of day” (Proverbs 4:18 NIV). This should be our story. Trust God to deal favorably with you. Look at the following truths and apply accordingly.
1. Trust God’s judgment and plan for your life in the year 2020.
2. Keep your expectation of a good future high.
3. Fight when you are led to do so. Do not be timid as a Christian. Spiritual warfare is real. Do not hide
behind the fact that you are trusting God and allow satan or some opportunists to cheat you of your inheritance.
4. Stand firm in your faith. Your faith in God’s power and ability, and your faith in your own ability to be all that God wants you to be.
5. Stand in your righteousness. When you are upright and your trust is in the Lord, He will bless you.
Remember, “Beware of despairing about yourself; you are commanded to put your trust in God, and not in yourself” – St. Augustine. Shalom.
