Merry Christmas
Luke 2:4-20
“Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy which will be to all people”.
Luke 2:10.
As the Bright and Morning star, Jesus Christ stepped into the earth to bring us light. He is indeed the good tidings
to man. He is the desire of all nations, the long-awaited
Messiah. Though not expected to be born in a manger, He was
all that we wanted. This day, we remember His birth and
glorify God for what He has done for mankind through His
Son.
What will you bring to the King today? Will you bring Him
your praise, worship and thanksgiving? Or you are yet to
decide on what to do? Let us join the shepherds to praise Him.
Let us join the angels to worship Him too.
The good news is that on Jesus Christ’s return to heaven, He
remains the joy of heaven. Hear this: “You are worthy, O
Lord, to receive glory and honor and power; for You created
all things, and by Your will they exist and were created”
(Revelation 4:12). Anywhere Jesus is, there is joy.
Friend, you need His joy in your heart. Reach out to Him
during this festivity, ask for His joy to come into your heart. If
you are downcast in heart, or in prison, He is nearer to you
than you can imagine. Call on Him and His joy and peace will
fill your heart. God bless you as you enjoy the joy of
Christmas. Shalom.
Your Turn
- Pray: Lord Jesus, what a joy to be alive today to celebrate Your coming to earth to set us free from the
power of sin and death. Receive all my praise. Amen.
