Let’s Give Thanks

Psalm 107:1-16
Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever. (Psalm 107:1).

It is the last Saturday of the month; let us give thanks unto the Lord. In His infinite mercies, He has kept us alive. We are alive because of His grace. Some have died already. Many have been involved in accidents meant to take their life, but the Lord delivered them. Others saw fire incidents, but they were spared from harm by the Lord. Indeed, we give God thanks.

Another reason we ought to thank God is because of who He is. He is God and He is faithful. He has not allowed us
to be a prey in the hands of the enemy. And where we have been plagued or caged, His power has gone forth to rescue and deliver us. Let us give Him thanks.

The more we praise God, the more confident we will be to ask Him to do more for us. Someone has said, “thanksgiving is an application for God to do more”. I agree. And I have been practicing it since I heard it. Since God is our Redeemer, we can be bold to pray and ask Him to redeem us from the hand of the oppressor as He has done. This would lead to more praise and continuous thanksgiving to Him. Indeed, “Oh, give thanks to the Lord, for He is good! For His mercy endures forever” (Psalm 107:1). Shalom.
