The Lord Is Enough
Psalm 144:1-10
Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle (Psalm 144:1).
Our God is more than enough, He has all we need and can supply all we want. He is our high tower and strength, David called Him, “My loving kindness and my fortress, my high tower and my deliverer, my shield and the One in whom I take refuge, who subdues my people under me” (Psalm 144:2).
Friend, who is the Lord to you? Is He enough or you need another god? Is He able to deliver you or not? I believe He
can. If you have experienced Him and tasted of His power and grace in the past, you would know that He is God, the all powerful.
As I read this psalm, my attention was drawn to verses 1-2. The Lord is our Rock. He wants to teach us how to engage in spiritual warfare. A lion gives birth to lion. If we are God’s children, then we must learn how to make and win wars like Him.
Indeed, “Blessed be the Lord my Rock, who trains my hands for war, and my fingers for battle” (Psalm 144:1). We need the Lord to train our hands and fingers to battle. We cannot afford to be quiet and let life have its negative tolls on us as if we were wimps, with no power, no God to protect and defend us.
It is time to pray: “Lord, train my hands for war. Deliver me. I know You are enough”. Amen.
