God, Our Protector

Psalm 121:3-5
The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand (Psalm 121:5, KJV).

From our devotional Bible reading, we understand that God will not allow our foot to slip or be moved. That means before anything good or bad happens to us, He knows about it.

No wonder He says in Romans 8:28 that all things work together for our good. The Bible says, “The Lord is thy keeper: the Lord is thy shade upon thy right hand” (Psalm 121:5). This means that God is with us always and He is concerned about our welfare and protection.

It also means that whatever happens to me now, or no matter the magnitude of the problem that I am facing now, it could have been worse if the Lord had not intervened to make sure I was not utterly destroyed.

No wonder the Bible says, “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD, And He delights in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down; For the LORD upholds him with His hand” (Psalm 37:23-24).

Let us trust the Lord and rest our hope in Him that He will take care of us and all will be well. Friend, if you can grasp this, then you can have the peace that passes all understanding at all times and go to sleep, even in the face of adversity. Shalom.
