He Provides Water And Deliverance

2 Kings 3: 4-20
You will not see wind or rain, but this valley will be filled with water. You, your cattle, and your other animals will drink (2 Kings 3:17, God’s Word Translation).

Our God provides water not only in the wilderness but when we are weary in the time of battle. Water symbolizes refreshing and revitalization. When Jehoshaphat and his friends got into trouble they called Elisha, the servant of God, in order to know the mind of God. God answered them.

Not only did God promise to provide water for them, He went further to tell them about the victory that He will give them because He is merciful. The prophet told them: “You will not see wind or rain, but this valley will be filled with water. You, your cattle, and your other animals will drink. The Lord considers that an easy thing to do. In addition, he will put Moab at your mercy. You will defeat every walled city and every important city” (2 Kings 3:17-19).

Our God is more than enough. He does more than we ask Him because when He looks at us and the need we bring before him, He sees beyond them. He goes ahead to meet our unvoiced needs.

Friend, let us worship this God and honour Him for who He is. He is a loving God. Let us worship Him and approach His presence with boldness to ask for what we need. Whatever we have seen Him do in the Bible time, He can do them again.

See Hebrews 13: 8. Shalom.
