George Muller And God
Luke 9:10-17
But He said to them, “You give them something to eat.” And they said, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish, unless we go and buy food for all these people.” For there were about five thousand men (Luke 9:13-14).
George Muller proved through his life and work as a missionary and the several orphanages He built that God is a provider. He provided money, food, staff and land they needed through prayer and faith. George proved that God can supply our need without any man being asked or approached.
A story was told about when they did not have food to feed the children at the orphanage. Yet, by faith Muller told them to go to the dining hall. The staff set up the crockery and cutlery. George believed that God would show up. As they shared grace to eat, they heard a knock on the door, it was the city baker. He told them that God woke him up in the night to bake bread and bring to the orphanage.
As he left, a milkman’s cart wheel broke down in front of the orphanage. He ended up donating his milk to them. God fed them that day because one man believed God. Friend, this God is still alive. Let us take Him at His word and ask Him to provide for our needs. He still performs miracles as we saw in today’s Bible reading. He can multiply the little that you have and make it big.
Build your faith to the overflow so that you can stand in faith. God will surprise you. He still knows how to provide in mysterious ways.
