The God Who Provides

Philippian 4:19
My God will richly fill your every need in a glorious way through Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19, God’s Word Translation).

Today, we will begin a short devotional study on the God who provides. The aim is to boost our faith and trust God for what we need even as several economies around the world continue to shrink or remain in recession.

Friend, when we talk about the God who provides and supplies our need, we are not limiting Him to financial needs. I use the word ‘need’ and ‘provision’ to mean more than that. Whatever is a need in your life is covered in our usage and God can supply it. Let us take God out of the box we have placed Him and enjoy Him.

When I need strength to write this daily devotional and I am feeling weak,  if I call on God and He gives me the strength and ideas I  need to work with, He has fulfilled His word to be my provider. If you need a husband and he provides one that is a need Jehovah has met.

Paul prayed for the Philippians in response to their giving to him saying, “My God will richly fill your every need in a glorious way through Christ Jesus” (Philippians 4:19, God’s Word Translation).  It means God can supply the wisdom to raise my kids well and favor me at work. May the God who provides reveal Himself to you in this season. Shalom.
