The Lord Will Do It
Psalm 23:1-6; 121:1-8
The Lord will keep you from all harm he will watch over your life (Psalm 121:7, NIV).
Extending yesterday’s devotional thoughts, I want to encourage your heart the more in the word of God so that your faith can be boosted and you can stand firm in the knowledge that God will protect you.
King David had a robust revelation of this truth when he penned down his convictions in the psalms that we read. In Psalm 121, he writes. “The Lord watches over youthe Lord is your shade at your right hand; the sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night” (vs.6, NIV).
In Psalm 23 he writes, “Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me” (Verse 4, NIV). Friend, God is for us not against us. Let us make these psalms part of our favourites in the Bible. We will not regret it. They come handy when the enemy comes against us or launch attack against our family.
On corporate level, we can apply these psalms too and the word of the Lord in Matthew 16: 18: “I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”. God will do it. Let us not fear but trust God. He will do as He has promised. May the Lord keep our hearts strong and help us to live for Him. Shalom.
