John 10:28-30
And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand (John 10:28).

There is no other place to find assurance than in the word of God. It reveals the mind of God to us with regard to our eternal salvation, security and destination.

When the Jews asked Jesus to tell them who He was, He answered with a deeper truth: “You cannot hear me because you are not my sheep. My sheep hears Me. “And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand” (John 10:28). Not only do they hear me, I have a great plan for them to.

In essence, once we have given our life to Jesus, it is His duty to ensure our eternal security. No one can snatch us out of His hands. As if that was not enough, He concluded by saying, “My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hand”( John 10:29). This is double assurance. The Master has spoken and we know that He is watching over us and will keep His word.

If nothing can snatch us from the hands of Jesus and the Father, we must not allow the cares of this world and sin to stop us. We can trust that both of them will do a good job.
