Keep Serving Him
Matthew 6: 30-33
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you (Matthew 6:33, KJV).
Hannah never knew that her breakthrough would come on the day she was serving as an usher in the church, to her it was an ordinary day but God had a plan. That Sunday a visiting minister was asked to preach the sermon. On his team was his first son who had just returned to the country upon completion of his postgraduate studies abroad.
Hannah was among those selected to entertain them after the service. She and the minister’s son struck a conversation. God was at work. In a matter of months, they were in a relationship. The following year, in that same church, Hannah got married to the young man. Only God could do that. She has waited to be married for long but God knew the right time to bring the right man to her.
Friend, do not give up on God. Do not give up on your faith. God is at work in your life. Keep believing and keep serving. In the fullness of time, God will remember you, rearrange your situation and cause your miracle to happen. The day Jesus appeared in Jericho changed Zacchaeus’ story.
Continue to “seek first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you” (Matthew 6:33). The God who did it for Hannah and Zacchaeus will do it for you. Shalom.
